Since the Ming and Qing Dynasties,the missionaries have opened the window of medical missions in my country,and the upper classes began to come into contact with Western scientific technology and medical knowledge.In the mid-Qing period,Guangzhou became the source of missionary medical communication,and medicine began to develop downward,advancing the spread of Western medicine knowledge in China.After the opening of Shanghai in modern times,the development of modern Shanghai’s news communication industry have promoted by the prosperous Shanghai society,the rising literati group,and the constantly improving newspaper and magazine industry.Under the demonstration role of missionaries,the number of church hospitals and Western medicine personnel has increased,and the scale of Chinese people studying Western medicine,practicing medicine,and establishing medical schools has also grown.Newspapers and periodicals disseminate Western medicine and promote the knowledge of Western medicine to become the mainstream,flourishing in the context of the conflict between Chinese and Western medicine.The period from 1927 to 1937 was the golden period for the development of modern Shanghai medical newspapers and periodicals.During this period,the medical newspapers and periodicals were rich in number,variety,and intertwined.Among them,"Health Monthly" developed by government,"New Medicine Journal" founded by pharmacies,and "Shun Pao Medicine Weekly" guided by the mass media are unique during this period,creating a new platform for the spread of Western medicine knowledge and disseminating modern medical knowledge.It communicates the close interaction between editors and readers.In the process of disseminating medical knowledge,from the perspective of the change of the dissemination subject,in the early days,missionaries from foreign medical missionaries founded publications and dominated the dissemination.With the establishment of medical colleges and medical associations in China,Chinese people have begun to learn and spread western medicine.It has become the mainstream of modern western medicine in Shanghai.From the content of the dissemination,professional and advanced Western medical knowledge has gradually been replaced by the public’s daily health and health knowledge.The popularization of Western medical knowledge has become a mainstream trend in society.The public has begun to participate in the discussion of medical knowledge and influence the editorialpolicy of medical journals.And aspirations.From the perspective of the disseminated audience,in the process of disseminating western medical knowledge by newspapers and periodicals,the audience mainly includes modern Chinese and western physicians,patients suffering from diseases,subscribers to newspapers and periodicals,and advertisers relying on newspapers and newspapers to conduct product marketing.Questions and answers,conveying questions and demands as readers.From the perspective of the effect of communication,the audience for the spread of western medical knowledge by newspapers and periodicals is limited,staying on the surface of medical relations and commercial interests,and only those intellectuals with reading level and medical experience can read the publications.The general ordinary people are still free from knowledge Within the spread.However,we cannot ignore the value of newspapers and periodicals in spreading knowledge of Western medicine.Newspapers and magazines spread Western medicine knowledge convey scientific and accurate Western medical expertise,clean and clean public health concepts,and form the norms for physicians in the process of opening and practicing medicine.Medical treatment has had a positive impact on modern Shanghai society and promoted the spread of modern medicine in China.
