Clinical Observation On The Treatment Of Tension-type Headache With Acupuncture Of Sishencong And Foot Acupunctur

Purpose: To study the clinical effects of body acupuncture combined with head & foot acupuncture on tension-type headache(TTH),its influence on cerebral blood supply and its mechanism.。 Material and method: 60 tension-type headache patients were randomly divided into experimental group and control group.In the experimental group,30 patients were treated with scalp & body acupuncture combined with foot acupuncture;30 patients in the control group were just given scalp & body acupuncture treatment.The headache severity index(number of episodes,days,duration,degree of pain)and VAS score were used as evaluation indicators and were compared for two weeks.Results: The treatment effect of the two groups was compared.The effective rate of the control group was 41.7% and total effective rate was 83.3%,while the effective rate of the experimental group was 46.7% and total effective rate was 93.3%.Both the control group and the experimental group had significant curative effect(P < 0.05).During the experiment period,patients did not feel unwell and continued to be in good condition.There were no abnormalities in the various safety indicators checked during the study.Conclusion: The treatment of tension-type headache by acupuncture on Sishencong combined with foot acupuncture can significantly improve the number of attack days,times,duration and degree of headache in patients and its therapeutic effect and observation indexes have significant advantages over the control group.
