Shenqi Fuzheng Injection Improves The Quality Of Life Of Advanced Breast Cancer Chemotherapy

Purpose:To research the clinical effect of Shenqifuzheng injection(SFI)on the life quality of advanced breast cancer patients treated with chemotherapy.Method:Fifty eligible patients from breast Department of Liaoning Cancer Hospital and Institute were equally divided into two groups,Group PI and Group SFI+PI,respectively.Paclitaxel injection was gived only in Group PI for 2 periods;Group SFI+PI was additionally treated with Shenqi fuzheng injection(250 ml/day for 3 days)for 2 periods.After chemotherapy,no treatment was performed to rise white cell and blood.blood routine was carried out at the first 5-7 days.The incidence of myelosuppression and Traditional Chinese Medicine Syndrome Score Scale as well as the Chinese quality of life scale were recorded for the post-treatment patients in the two groups to research the effect of Shenqi fuzheng injection on myelosuppression,effective percentage and quality of life..Results:1.The incidence of mild myelosuppression(I/II)of Group SFI+PI and Group PI were 68% and 52%(P=0.248),respectively;while the incidence of severe myelosuppression(III/IV)of Group SFI+PI and Group PI were 8% and 40%(P=0.008),respectively.had statistical significance in the two group.The incidence of severe myelosuppression(III/IV)was improved in Group SFI+PI.2.The results of Traditional Chinese Medicine Syndrome Score Scale showed that the effective percentage of Group SFI+PI and Group PI inpoor appetite fatigued spirit and lack of strength,ahypnosis,dim and black complexion,nausea and vomiting,soreness and weakness of waist and knees,dizziness and lack of qi and no desire to speak were 60% and 32%(P=0.047),56% and 28%(P=0.045),52% and 20%(P=0.018),64% and 32%(P=0.024),72% and 44%(P=0.045),60% and 28%(P=0.023),64% and 36%(P=0.048),56% and 20%(P=0.009),respectively.The aspects mentioned above were improved in Group SFI+PI;while othe aspects were not improved.3.The results of the Chinese quality of life scale showed that the scale in complexion of Group SFI+PI and Group PI were 15.92±2.35 and 11.52±2.08(P<0.001);the scale in energy of Group SFI+PI and Group PI were 11.52±2.08 and 13.08±3.91(P<0.001);the scale in mental state of Group SFI+PI and Group PI were 23.64±3.64 and 18.20±3.06(P<0.001);the scale in language performance of Group SFI+PI and Group PI were 8.44±1.39 and 7.52±1.56(P=0.014).The scale of Group SFI+PI was higher than Group PI,and there had statistical significance in the two group(P<0.05);Furthermore,The scale of emotion for Group SFI+PI was also higher than Group PI with statistical significance in the two group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The effect of Shenqi fuzheng injection associated with Paclitaxel injection is superior to that of only Paclitaxel injection to improve the life quality of advanced breast cancer patients after Chemotherapy.The treatment of Shenqi fuzheng injection could decrease the incidence of myelosuppression and :uncomfortable symptoms such as poor appetite,fatigued spirit and lack of strength,ahypnosis,dim and black complexion,nausea and vomiting,soreness and weakness of waist and knees,dizziness and lack of qi and no desire to speak,and enhance their quality of life.
