In the present China,the contradiction between doctors and patients is becoming more and more prominent,which has aroused the concern at all levels of society.This has greatly affected the overall harmony of our whole society.Henry Ernest Sigerist-a famous medical historians once said: "every medical action always involves two parties: physician and patient,or,more broadly,medical groups and societies,and medical is nothing but a variety of relations between the two groups of people".Obviously,the doctor-patient relationship is one of the world’s most special relationships,but the conflicts between them are inevitable.Therefore,the managing and controlling the doctor-patient contradiction,improving the doctor-patient relationship and the quality of the doctor-patient relationship have important value for the construction of a harmonious society.It is just based on this basic idea,research on the present situation of the doctor-patient relationship of Xi ’an Fourth Hospital,plans and measures from the perspective of management and hospital to improve the doctor-patient relationship is the purpose of this study.This paper,based on the related theory on doctor-patient relationship management,respectively uses two sets of questionnaires for patients and the related medical workers to investigate on the doctor-patient relationship.The results showed that the medical staff and patients had different attributions to the responsible party that caused the doctor-patient dispute: the medical practitioners believed that the system accounted for 63%,the social factor was 17%,and the patient was 10%,10%in others.Patients believed that 60 percent of the responsibility for medical disputes was in the hospital,20 percent in nursing,11 percent in the logistics and 9 percent of patients.That is to say,the patients are not the main cause of the medical conflict,but the doctors think 80% of the responsibility lies in the system and social problems,while the patients return 80% of the reason to the doctor and the nursing.Combining the two,we believe that the main responsibility of the doctor-patient relationship is the system and the hospital.In order to improve the doctor-patient relationship of Xi ’an Fourth Hospital,a set of schemes are proposed in this paper: From doctor and nurse’s perspective,improving medical quality and medical security vigorously promote the basic medical quality and the working method to raise work efficiency;the patient shunt mode scheme proposed from the operationprocess;from the management system and the supervision system,a set of pre-doctor-patient relationship control plans,during-doctor-patient relationship control plans,and the post-doctor-patient relationship control schemes are initiated.It also puts forward the safeguard measures to implement the scheme from the aspects of organization and system,the related funds and financial resources,the information and technology means,and the hospital culture construction.Of course,there are many deficiencies in this study,such as the psychological reasons for the tension between doctors and patients,and the lack of sociological foundation.And the plan proposed in management has yet to be tested and perfected in practice.
