The Study On The Relationship Between Team Coordination And Consulting Project Performance:the Moderating Effect Of Project Manager's Leadership

Because of the complexity and unpredictability of environment in the digital age,more and more companies seek help from management consulting companies to get intellectual support,with the purpose of solving problems and making decisions.In the past few decades,management consulting industry has been maintained rapid growth.Although the demand for consulting services is increasing,the performance of management consulting projects in China is generally unsatisfactory.In that case,this paper tried to explore the influencing factors of the performance of consulting project,and put forward some effective suggestions to improve the efficiency and effect of consulting project.In this paper,we mainly discussed the relationship between team coordination and consulting project performance,and the moderating effect of project manager's leadership.The main conclusions included:Firstly,team coordination has a positive effect on consulting project performance,approving that higher team coordination accompanies with better project performance.Secondly,project manager's leadership plays a partial regulatory role in the relationship between team coordination and consulting project performance.Specifically,project manager's competences of emotional(EQ)and managerial(MQ)play a positive regulatory role,while competence of intellectual(IQ)has no regulation effect on the relationship.In consulting project,consultants depend on the whole team to deliver the solutions.Therefore,project manager's competence of intellectual is not a key factor to the project performance.Lastly,based on the research results,this paper provided suggestions for consulting enterprises and discussed the limitations and prospects of this article.
