API Bank Application Scenario Analysis

With the rapid development of financial technologies such as big data and block chain,scenario-based financial model has become a hot spot pursued by Internet financial enterprises and traditional financial institutions,who regard the scenes of all walks of life as an important channel to acquire long-tail customers and improve customer stickiness.The "who gets the scenes gets the world" argument suggests that the integration of financial services into the ecological scenes will be a big trend.Since Shanghai Pudong development bank put forward the concept of "API Bank" in 2018,major commercial banks in China have joined the road of bank opening one after another,aiming to output their financial products and services to the ecological scenes through the API bank,so as to integrate financial services into the scenes.Starting from the origin of API bank,this paper analyzes its' definition,introduces the practices of API banks from the domestic and global perspectives,and extracts the existing problems and challenges of API banks at home and abroad.Secondly,it makes an in-depth analysis of the relevant subjects and interwoven relationships in the API bank ecosystem to clarify the operation logic of this model.Thirdly,the application of API bank in the high-frequency scenes of B and C is analyzed.Finally,the application scenario of API bank is verified by taking SPDB API Bank as a case and the successful experience in the opening process of SPDB is extracted.The main research results of this paper are as follows:1.The c-terminal high-frequency application scenes of open apis can be summarized into two types: financial payment and consumer credit scenes;2.The b-terminal high-frequency application scenes of open apis can be summarized into two types: corporate finance and cross-border settlement scenes.Successful experiences of SPDB API Bank are as follows :(1)Choose an appropriate construction mode;(2)Pay attention to investment in science and technology;(3)Take customers as the center and then expand application scenarios.
