With the continuous development of science and technology, the transmission of network information is extremely fast and is not hindered by geography. However, sensitive data in transit can easily be intercepted by hackers on the Internet. How to ensure the security of information has become a concern of the whole society.Cryptography and steganography are two important practices to ensure information security.Cryptography is a series of information transformations performed by the communicating parties in accordance with the agreed rules.Steganography is to hide the existence of data,it hides data or information in any type of original file, such as images, audio, video, etc. This article mainly does the following work:(1)In order to improve the capacity of secret message hidden in the image and the quality of the steganographic image,a hybrid steganographic algorithm based on the least significant bit(LSB)replacement and Hamming code is proposed. The algorithm uses two different steganography methods to increase the security of secret message. The study found that the edge area of the image can tolerate larger changes than the smooth area,so more secret messages can be embedded in the edge portion of the image, and a small amount of messages can be embedded in the smooth area of the image. Finally, the performance of the proposed algorithm is evaluated by measuring payload capacity, mean square error(MSE),peak signal-to-noise ratio(PSNR),and histogram analysis.Experimental results show that the proposed steganography algorithm not only has greater embedding capacity than other existing steganography algorithms, but also the image quality has been significantly improved.(2)A secure adaptive image steganography algorithm based on encryption and pseudo-random sequences is proposed. As the key is obtained, the intruder can successfully extract the hidden secret information.Aiming at these problems, this paper first uses an asymmetric encryption algorithm to encrypt the key,and then uses symmetric encryption algorithm AES-128 to encrypt the data, and randomly selects the specific location of the secret information to be hidden,to achieve double security of secret information. In addition, according to the characteristics of the human visual system, the correlation characteristics between pixels are studied, and the secret message is adaptively embedded in the original image, which ensures the good quality of the image. Finally, methods such as mean square error(MSE),peak signal-to-noise ratio(PSNR),structural similarity(SSIM),and measurement of payload capacity are used to evaluate the performance of the proposedalgorithm.Experimental results show that the proposed steganography algorithm performs better than other existing steganography algorithms.
