A Study Of Mask Symbols In Mask Singer Season From The Perspective Of Hermeneutics

Recently,TV music reality show plays an important role in reality show with its unique content production and performance forms.The large-scale music suspense quiz reality show Mask Singer Season is one of the representative works launched by Canxing production and Zhejiang satellite TV.This program conducted interactive guessing and commenting activities through “voice”features by using mask symbols to block singer's images.Besides,under the context of Pan entertainment,this program balanced the music and interests ingeniously by combining music with suspense.Masks,as the symbols of the program,are carriers of the musical meanings and entertainment attributes of the program.From the perspective of hermeneutic theory,this paper takes the meanings of mask in the program of Mask Singer Season as the research objects.Then the author intends to investigate the interpretation process of the meanings of mask symbols in the program combining the methods of literature analysis and questionnaire survey.Through analyzing the meaning of two interpreters of this study,program group and singers,the author finds that singers can be more realistic to show themselves and pursue the purity of music under the cover of mask symbols;program group conveys the balance of entertainment and art in programs by constructing masks with different themes.Under the context of pan-entertainment and information fragmentation,the program group and singers generated the interpretation context of “ reducing the interference of appearance value and label,and highlighting the recognition of voice”.During the process,the meaning of“removing the external label,pursuing the true self,and returning to the original heart of music” can be explained.The study also shows that the program adheres to the music value,and it is a great exploration for the TV music reality show under the background of Pan entertainment.
