With the accelerated development of the urbanization process,the number of cities has increased dramatically and the level of urbanization has increased.The city is not only a region,a spatial form,but also a center.It is the political,economic,cultural,and transportation center of the surrounding area.The population is concentrated,the business is developed,and the residents are mainly non-agricultural populations.The city's image can enhance the competitiveness of the city and directly affect the construction of the national image.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to study the city's image shaping and external communication.The city image is a pluralistic system,including a series of subsystems such as government image,corporate image,citizen image,window image,architectural image,environmental image,cultural image,development image,etc.Each subsystem supports and influences each other to form together Complete city image.According to the results of the 27 th Global Financial Center Index(GFCI27)published simultaneously in Shenzhen,China and Seoul,South Korea,three cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area are among the top 20 global financial centers,with Hong Kong ranked 6th and Shenzhen ranked first 11 th place,Guangzhou ranks19 th,of which Guangzhou is the fastest rising city among the first-tier cities in China.In the new era,opportunities and challenges coexist.While paying attention to the city's economic construction,Guangzhou should pay more attention to the shaping and spread of the city's international image and enhance its soft power in international competition.In the context of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area,this article aims to communicate with the city,from the perspective of the "other" foreigners in Guangzhou,analyzes the influencing factors and existing problems that affect the external spread of Guangzhou's urban image,and explores the new background The ways and strategies of the external dissemination of Guangzhou's urban image.This article takes the perception and evaluation of Guangzhou foreign city image as a research content,comprehensively uses the theories of communication,journalism,sociology,etc.,through questionnaire surveys and in-depth interviews with foreign residents inGuangzhou to conduct a survey on the current status of Guangzhou city image's external communication In-depth analysis,from the level of communicable city theory,put forward suggestions to promote foreigners' Guangzhou city identity,place,satisfaction,and value;from the perspective of "other",put forward the differentiation of Guangzhou city image in cross-cultural communication suggestions and integrated urban marketing communication thinking to create a Guangzhou city brand,do a good job in public relations and risk management of urban crises.Through the above suggestions,with a view to improving Guangzhou's competitiveness in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area,its popularity,influence and competitiveness in the world's metropolises,it also provides references and ideas for the external dissemination of the urban image of other cities in Guangdong,Hong Kong and Macao,and even inland cities.
