A Study On The Economic Impact Of China's Press And Publication Industry

The press and publication industry is the core component of the cultural industry,which is very important for the development of the cultural industry.Since the reform and opening up,with the rapid growth of national economy and the strong support of government policies,China's press and publication industry has made rapid development,and its influence and contribution to all aspects of the national economy has become increasingly prominent.The press and publication industry has become an important support point of China's cultural industry and a new growth point of national economy,which plays a fundamental and strategic role in promoting China's cultural soft power and comprehensive national strength.Therefore,it is necessary to study systematically the economic impact of the press and publication industry.This paper uses input-output technology to study the economic impact of the press and publication industry from the aspects of correlation effect,income effect and employment effect.It can enrich the economic analysis of the press and publication industry on the theoretical level,broaden the application field of input-output technology,and fully clarify the status and impact of the press and publication industry in the national economy on the practical level,and accordingly put forward relevant policy building To promote the development of the press and publishing industry and enhance its contribution to the national economy.In strict accordance with the division standards of culture and related industries classification(2018)and national economy industry classification(GB / T 4754-2017),this paper compiles the 22 × 22 sector input-output table of China's press and publication industry with the latest 2017 national input-output table as the master table,and conducts research based on the data in this table.In this paper,the press and publication industry is divided into news information and publishing departments,publication distribution departments and printing and reproduction departments.The input-output analysis method is used to study the economic impact of the press and publication industry from the aspects of correlation effect,income effect,employment effect and other macro effects.The results show that: first,in the aspect of correlation effect,there are different close economic and technological relations between the various departments of press and publication industry and other departments of national economy.The backward correlation effectof news information and publishing department is more significant,but the forward correlation effect is not significant;the forward and backward correlation effect of publishing department is just the opposite;the forward and backward correlation effect of printing and copying department is significant.Second,in terms of income effect and employment effect,all sectors of the press and publication industry have contributed to the national income and employment to a certain extent.From the comparison of the three sectors,the income effect and employment effect of the printing and reproduction sector are greater than the other two sectors;from the three stages of direct effect,indirect effect and induced effect,the indirect economic effect of each sector of the press and publication industry is the strongest,followed by the direct economic effect,and the induced economic effect is relatively weak.Third,in terms of industrial investment effect,consumption effect and export effect,each department of the press and publication industry affects the level of industrial investment,consumption and export in different degrees.From the perspective of industrial investment effect,the industrial investment effect of the publishing sector is greater than that of the other two sectors,and each sector of the press and publication industry can significantly expand its industrial investment effect through the economic and technological links with other sectors;from the perspective of consumption effect,the consumption effect of the news information and publishing sector is larger,showing a strong pulling effect on national consumption,the other two sectors From the perspective of export effect,the three departments of the press and publication industry have strong export effect,which shows that the press and publication industry plays a greater role in promoting exports.The innovation of this paper lies in: first,this paper takes the economic impact of the press and publication industry as the research object,puts the press and publication industry into the whole national economic system to study its industrial correlation effect,income effect,employment effect and other macro effects,which makes up for the lack of research on the economic impact of the press and publication industry;second,this paper strictly follows the classification of culture and related industries(2018)and the classification of national economic industries(GB / T)4754-2017 and the latest 2017 national input-output table compiled the input-output table of China's press and publication industry,and used the input-output model to calculate the impact of press and publication industry on the national economy,which is not only an innovative application of the input-output technology,but also a path for the quantitative study of the economic impact of the press and publication industry.
