Research On The Development Strategy Of Children's Periodicals In The Context Of Media Convergence

The era of convergence media has a huge impact on traditional children's publications,making them face severe challenges.Children's journals based on traditional paper media must grasp the law of the development of the media era,and gradually shift from traditional publishing to composite publishing,so as to seek a correct transformation and avoid obsolescence.The author uses "Little Star" as a case study to try to summarize the problems faced by children's journals in the context of media integration,and proposes development strategies based on this.The main contents are as follows:The first part first defines the concept of "media integration" and "children's journal",then discusses the current environment of children's journals and the characteristics of children's journals,proves the necessity of research,then review the 40 years' development process of "Little Star" so that readers have a general understanding of the magazine.The second part is the causes and difficulties of the development of Little Star in the era of media.First of all,the highlights and advantages of Little Star are summarized from the macro and micro perspectives.Then use comparative analysis to analyze the shortcomings of children's journals in four aspects:marketing methods,presentation methods,after-sales links,and journal editors.The third part echoes the problems raised in the previous chapter and proposes scientific transformation suggestions for children's journals in combination with emerging media technologies.With the gradual influence of the convergence media on children's reading environment,how should children's journals adapt to the market to attract more readers is an important issue for children's journalists.The author hopes to combine media convergence with children's journals to provide some feasible guidance for promoting the publication of children's journals with media convergence.
