Analysis On The Editing And Publishing Norms Of The Process And Format Of The Article Indexing

Taking the compilation process and item format of article index as the research object,the purpose of this paper is to study the editing and publishing of the both sides.In an investigation on the present situation of the standard of editing and publishing the index of articles,the interview and investigation is used to make an exploration of the compilation process of the reference room of the History Department of Fudan University,the editorial department of the "National newspaper Index" and the Publishing House of Huazhong University of Science and Technology,the literature analysis method is used to probe into the finished products of 170 articles index collected from the National Library,the Shanghai Library and other literature centers.It is found that there is a lack of specification in the compilation process and the format of the item,which is due to the fact that there is no written specification for the targeted index at present.The case study method is used to systematically analyze the compilation process and item format of the "National Index of Newspapers and Periodicals”,which is found that there is the advantages of superior technical means,high efficiency of cataloguing and clear division of labor in the preparation work being divided into document form transformation,basic data description and acceptance,and printing periodical editing stage.However,there are some limitations that have not been fully automated,the quality management of cataloguing is not perfect,and the professional ability needs to be improved.The format of the journal has the advantages of being more mature,standardized and in line with the requirements of the subject.It has the limitation that it is only suitable for newspaper literature,and the limitation that punctuation marks are tedious,and the description items are separated from the practical application.Based on the facts,it's to expound the necessity of strengthening the standard of editing and publishing the index of the article from three aspects of promoting the development of the cause of article index,improving the quality of article index and optimizing the use and feeling of the indexer,besides,it is considered to be feasible from the points that the compilation steps are basically stable and the evaluation criteria can be described objectively,the contradiction of item format is more prominent and there are relevant national standards as the basis,then it is pointed out that the normative research should follow the five basic principles of science,generality,standardization,systematicness and flexibility.The standard of publishing and publishing is explored and editted in the aspect of the process of article index compilation and by combination with the actual case and the method of induction and summary,from which it is considered that the goal of strengthening the compilation of article index should be professionalism,comprehensiveness and timeliness,and it is pointed out that the essence of the current work of article index is compilation with computer to help.The existing compilation links are selected for the topic,selected literature,catalogued,arranged,proofread,finalized,from the perspective of article index and editing and publishing,the existing compilation links are supplemented by the determination of topic selection planning,topic selection demonstration,description,formulation of article index rules,introduction of funds,ranking of items,technical arrangement,three times of proofread and read once and finalization,besides,in the local process specification scheme,combined with the actual cases,the above links are discussed in detail,and finally the editing and publishing specification of the article index compilation process is made a summary.With regards to the format of the text index,the standard scheme of editing and publishing is explored by the use of the method of comparative analysis.On the basis of the characteristics of the subject of title Index and the National Standard GB3793-83 "Rules for the Description of Items in Retrieval Journals",it discusses the problems of redundant description,punctuation mark,adding description items and so on in the paper with the guidance of six kinds of literature sources,such as periodical papers,conference papers,newspaper literature,monograph precipitation literature,degree papers,Monograph precipitation literature,and masterpieces,forming the basis of opinions on the format of normative paragraphs.Then,it is to make a conclusion and the format of the item is divided into the precipitated literature and the whole literature,making emphasis on the use of punctuation marks and the treatment of special situations in cataloguing items,finally,the editing and publishing specifications of the text index format are summarized.
