Today,China's international influence has extended to the inland areas and has received great attention from media at home and abroad.Under the “One Belt,One Road” initiative,the international influence of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region has been continuously improved.In this paper,the combination of qualitative and quantitative research,the 2013-2018 ?China Daily · USA?news coverage of Inner Mongolia is the main research object.In the Proquest database,a total of 890 reports covering Inner Mongolia were collected in the media,and 309 invalid samples were manually removed,coded in chronological order,and the data was statistically analyzed using the Content Analysis Method to obtain the ?China Daily · USA?.The characteristics of the report are irregular,the genre of the report is strong,and the source of the report is biased.At the same time,based on the sample keywords,this study designed the five-level Likert scale of Inner Mongolia image indicators,and analyzed that the national English newspapers in China have constructed an ambiguous historical image about Inner Mongolia,rapid economic development,high level of foreign trade and resources.The development image of rich ethnic minority areas and social crimes and crimes are mostly,and the reality image of underdeveloped areas.Then,15 American audiences were interviewed about the international media image of Inner Mongolia.It was concluded that the recognition of the international media image in Inner Mongolia was low,and the acceptance of the media image audience in Inner Mongolia was high and the expectations of the audience consciousness were generated.The ?China Daily · USA? has a lack of historical and cultural connotations in the process of constructing Inner Mongolia's international media image,which makes the image of Inner Mongolia unable to be three-dimensional,neglects the importance of the audience,the spread of single polarization is significant,and the media mainly serves the Chinese government,related issues with narrower horizons.In response to the above problems,it is proposed to construct a "close-up text" adapted to international audiences,establish an audience priority,attach importance to the feedback mechanism of the audience,and advice on the way to national media close to international audiences.
