With the de,velopment of the processing industry,the level o.f automation is increasing,th e production of thin strip material has basically achieved automation.During the transmission process of strip decoiling and coiling,due to various physical factors affecting,it's easily cause the deviation phenomenon.So the safety of the production line and quality of the product can not be guaranteed.According to the requirement of cost and precision,this paper discusses the design of a low-cost photoelectric center position control system which is based on the control core of STM32 ARM.Using Infrared sensor arrays as detective sensor,using the ARM and FPGA as core processor to calculate the detected signal,and final detected location information will be transmitted via RS485 bus and Ethernet.This article described the system architecrture and the detection principle of the sensor,given the relevant hardware and software design,analysised the factors that affecting the accuracy of the detection,and provided the corresponding solutions.
