With the development of wireless communication technology in recent years and the demand for higher communication speed,MIMO-OFDM system has gradually become one of the core technologies in the field of wireless communication with its high spectrum utilization and communication reliability.Communication systems and standards are adopted. In this paper, the general architecture of MIMO-OFDM communication system is studied for the realization of wireless communication system with transmission data rate up to 500 Mbps. The more important algorithms in the system are analyzed and simulated. After determining the parameters of the system,The system was implemented and tested on the hardware platform. The channel estimation,MIMO detection, residual phase deviation and sample point offset compensation and constellation soft demodulation algorithm in MIMO-OFDM communication system are analyzed and simulated. The computational complexity and performance of the zero-forcing detection algorithm, the minimum mean square error detection algorithm and the serial interference cancellation detection algorithm in the MIMO detection algorithm are compared. The comparison between the four receiving antennas and the eight receiving antennas is adopted when four spatial streams are used.Performance, and selected 4 transmit 8 receive and zero-forcing detection algorithms for the MIMO scheme of this paper. Then the hardware implementation of the designed MIMO-OFDM communication system is carried out.The structure of the whole MIMO-OFDM baseband receiver is explained. The specific implementation structure is given for the algorithm mentioned in the previous section.Due to the high transmission rate achieved by the system, the method of judging whether the data throughput of each part of the system is sufficient is analyzed, and the baseband receiver capable of satisfying the required performance of the system is finally completed. Finally, the prototype of the implemented wireless communication system was tested, including the joint test of the system and the MATLAB simulation model and the transmission test of the system in the actual wireless channel.Through testing, the implemented system has good performance and meets the design requirements.
