The concept "the Belt and Road Initiatives" had been paid attention to all over the world since 2013 when it was put forward.The official documents issued in 2015 lead up to the full opening of the construction of "the Belt and Road Initiatives".Multiple countries along the area of "the Belt and Road Initiatives" are involved.It is significant to regional and global economic,politics,culture and so on.However,there is a lot of difference in terms of countries' conditions,political stance and national interests.It is necessary to understand the perception and attitude of those countries if China wants to promote the construction of "the Belt and Road Initiatives".And the media reports which are about "the Belt and Road Initiatives" are the best ways to understand other countries' ideas.This article takes 300 international news reports issued in 2015 about "the Belt and Road Initiatives" as the research object.It uses the combination of quantitative and qualitative as the research method and makes case code analysis from different aspects like the way,content and attitude of reporting in order to learn about the general situation of the report of the international media in 2015 towards the construction of "the Belt and Road Initiatives".Then it gives proposals targeted to China's national image building and international communication in the course of the construction of "the Belt and Road Initiatives".Studies find that "the Belt and Road Initiatives" has been widely reported by international media.In general,most reports involving "the Belt and Road Initiatives" are positive.But the attitude presented in those reports are different,some have a strong support and believe it would be better,while the others have the attitude of reservation and even opposition.Also,there is misunderstanding and worries about "the Belt and Road Initiatives" in some reports.In order to promote the construction of "the Belt and Road Initiatives",the Chinese media should strengthen the external communication and shape the national image against the current problems reflected in the international reports about "the Belt and Road Initiatives".
