Narrative Research On Data Journalism

Data journalism,also known as data-driven news,refers to a new type of news reporting based on data capture,mining,statistics,analysis and visualization.It is a new type of report that emerges with the advent of the data age.It is the inevitable result of the full penetration of data technology into the journalism industry.Its appearance has changed the traditional news production process to a certain extent,and it is more in line with the readers than traditional news.Reading psychology has had a huge impact on traditional news.Although data journalism is a new form of news,it is the same as traditional news.The essence of data journalism is still to present the truth to the public,to tell the story clearly and clearly to the public.Narrative is still the starting point and attribution of data news.Just like traditional news text plus image form,the main body of data news is data.Although text and images will appear in it,they have given way to data-based infographics or videos or other types of visual views.So,data news has also explored its own narrative method to a certain extent.Specifically,this thesis starts with the narrative elements such as characters,time,place and "pass",which proves that data journalism is a narrative feature,and concludes that data journalism has three narratives of concrete narrative,general narrative and predictive narrative.Type;secondly,interpret the narrative language of data journalism and explore its role in narrative.In addition,the paper also finds that the data news uses three narrative methods: linear narrative and non-linear narrative,spatial narrative and interactive narrative in the narrative.Finally,we will reflect on the narrative of data news and put forward our own suggestions.We should avoid creating visual carnival,avoiding emotional misjudgment,and enhancing storytelling.
