Design And Realization Of Pixel Circuits Of AMOLED Display

AMOLED is the third generation flat panel display,it has characteristics such as self emitting,very fast response,low driver voltage,full solid construct,super slim,very wide view angle,wide working temperature range,compared to mature flat panel display technology TFT-LCD,it can be used to make flexible display,transparent display,which TFT-LCD technology cannot be used to.So AMOLED retechnology represents the most advanced trend of the flat display technology.Because every pixel of AMOLED display is made of OLED emitting unit,different to the driving requirement of TFT-LCD liquid crystal pixel,OLED emitting unit is an electroluminescence unit with organic material,so it needs current driving,and the armorphous silicon TFT cannot be used to driving AMOLED pixel because of its carriers low mobility and its big thresh hold voltage offsets.As above issues,this paper use MILC method as silicon crystallization process,has developed a top gate construct LTPS-TFT device,and designed a 2 transistors with 1 capacitor AMOLED pixel driving circuit,has realized an AMOLED display module.The main content of this paper is as following:1.Considering the different flat panel display technology,researched the characteristics of OLED technology and analysis the trend of TFT and driving technology.2.According to the requirements of AMOLED display module,designed a 2 transistors and 1 capacitor pixel driving circuit,also designed a 3:1 DEMUX gate decoding and RGB decoding circuit on the display panel.3.Has developed a top gate construct LTPS-TFT device with MILC process method and OLED organic emitting device construct based on bottom emitting method,using phosphor and fluorescent hybrid device,got a good color and illuminance performance.Using digital driving method on the display module,fufilled the performance requirements of AMOLED display.
