With the introduction of "made in China 2025",many fields of production in today's society are developing towards a high degree of automation and even intelligence.Volume measurement technology,as an important basic technology in many fields of production(grain storage,minerals,etc.),has also begun to develop towards automation.The scheme proposed in this paper is precisely to meet the needs of automation.The automatic volume measurement system is designed and implemented for raw meal warehouse in cement mill.How much material is stored in the warehouse is a very important information for the cement mill,which has a direct impact on the planning of the enterprise,so it is of great practical significance to design such an automatic measurement system.One of the most important basic techniques of volume measurement is three-dimensional scanning.In this scheme,the combination of laser rangefinder and attitude angle measurement module is used to realize three-dimensional measurement.They and other devices constitute a data acquisition system to achieve three-dimensional scanning.The three data acquisition systems are installed symmetrically on the top of the cylindrical warehouse.Under the control of the control system,the data acquisition system carries on the three-dimensional scanning measurement to the upper surface of the material.The measured data is transmitted to the PC terminal through the Ethernet module of the STM32F407 micro-controller and the corresponding peripherals.Then a series of algorithms,such as surface fitting,numerical integration,Delaunay triangulation and so on,are used to merge the data,calculate the volume of the measured material and draw a three-dimensional image of the material stack.In order to facilitate the staff to view the related data,the results of data processing,warehouse number and measurement time are stored in the database,and the user interface software is written with C#.Warehouse managers use user interface software to view the relevant information through a series of screening criteria,such as warehouse number,measurement times and so on.This paper mainly discusses the system design scheme and its rationality,related algorithm design and software implementation method.If the actual measurement is to be carried out,it is necessary for the cement mill to stop production for the installation of the equipment,that is,the actual measurement and commissioning will not be carried out until the production of the cement mill is in the idle state.At present,only a simulation environment similar to the actual measurement environment can be built in the laboratory to carry out the physical test.According to the test results,combined with the analysis andcalculation of the quality index of the measurement results,the final conclusion is drawn: the measurement accuracy of this system can reach more than 90%,which can meet the actual demand of cement mill.
