Research On The Guaging System Of Pointer Meter Reading Based On Vision

Pointer instruments are widely used in life and industrial production because of their advantages such as simple structure,good reliability,high cost performance,intuitive and convenient reading.This paper mainly studies the inspection technology of pointer meter reading based on machine vision.The main work is as follows:Firstly,we select a suitable image acquisition device,design a reasonable image acquisition scheme,and take a clear instrument image.According to the actual situation,it is found that the image has a certain deformation when the object is near,so the image distortion is effectively restored by designing the camera calibration experiment,and the image information is consistent with the actual situation.Secondly,image preprocessing is applied to further enhance effective feature information and reduce interference.Aiming at the problem of detecting errors in the presence of incorrect instrumentation,a correction scheme of instrument image is proposed.By finding the effective feature information in the image as a correction benchmark and finding the corrected angle,it effectively solves the problem and improves the accuracy of detection.Thirdly,in the process of edge line feature extraction,the problem of Hough transformation parameters is difficult to select and the number of straight lines is too many.The reasonable optimization operation is put forward.The robustness and fault tolerance of the detection scheme are effectively improved through the selection of the connected domain and the thinning of the pointer contour,and the pointer straight line with high credibility can be obtained.Finally,the accuracy of the proposed pointer reading detection method is verified by experiments.The experimental results show that the method proposed in this paper can meet the actual detection needs.
