The founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949 opened a new page in Chinese history,and the library industry has entered a new stage.This period is not only an important period for the reconstruction of Chinese library cause,but also a critical period for connecting the past with the future.It has a far-reaching impact on the development of library cause in the second half of the 20 th century and even today.Therefore,the study of the history of Library Science in the early period of 1949-1956 is an important subject in the academic research of Library Science in China,both in the stage of historical development and in the content of the development of Library Science in China.Henan is located in the Central Plains,the world's hub,with a long history and rich culture.In the Yin and Shang Dynasties,there appeared a collection institution-the tortoise room.In recent years,library research has become a hot topic in academic circles.However,most of the previous studies were in the early Republic of China or in the late period of reform and opening up.The research on the public libraries in Henan Province in the early period of the founding of the People's Republic(1949-1956)was relatively weak,while the research on the public libraries in Henan Province in the early period of the founding of the People's Republic(1949-1956This paper will systematically sort out the development context of Henan Library in the early days of the founding of the People's Republic(1949-1956)and the characteristics and Enlightenment reflected in its development process.This paper systematically analyses the background of the development of Henan public libraries in the early period of the founding of the People's Republic of China(1949-1956).It introduces the continuous development of Henan public libraries in the early period of the founding of the People's Republic of China(1949-1956)from the aspects of the political background,legal policies and the transformation and upgrading of Public Libraries in Henan.This paper analyses the development history of Public Libraries in Henan Province,and describes the relevant characteristics of Public Libraries in Henan Province from the aspects of facility environment,business work,work functions,characteristics of Public Libraries in Henan Province and the development status of municipal and county libraries.By comparing with the public libraries in other areas,this paper tries to find out the problems existing in Henan public libraries in the early period of the founding of the People's Republic of China,and realize the present value of Henan public libraries in the early period of the founding of the People's Republic of China(1949-1956).According to these problems,this paper evaluates the public libraries in Henan Province in the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China from the aspects of Library funds,hierarchical subordinate relations,team building and innovation.Finally,due to the lack of academic research on city and county libraries,the narrow content of research on Henan Library in the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China,the insufficient scope of research,the narrow focus on Henan Library in history,and the recent history books and periodicals of Henan Library are often the stacking of materials,in-depth analysis and research are relatively few,many materials can not be found.Detailed and inadequate data filling leads to a single research method.The early period of the founding of the People's Republic of China is an important historical period of modern and contemporary inheritance in China.As a pioneer of the Central Plains culture,which played a crucial role in promoting social and cultural construction in the Republic of China,the construction of County-level Libraries in Henan Province has also made unprecedented progress.The rise of Chinese librarianship began at the time of the alternation of old and new political systems,the collision of progress and backwardness.Therefore,its development has its own characteristics,and the research on this aspect is of great significance to the whole library circle.
