Since the birth of the Internet, users' personal privacy issues have continued to receive attention. In recent years, with the further development of computer technology, various Internet platforms such as social media, virtual communities, and e-commerce websites have gradually integrated into the of users' lives. However, while Internet users enjoy the convenience brought by Internet, information privacy issues have become increasingly prominent and have received worldwide attention. In the academic flied, information privacy has also become one of the hot topics in IS.However, some studies have found that the privacy concerns of Internet users are inconsistent or unrelated to their personal information disclosure behavior, namely privacy paradox. At the same time,Internet users have also been found to respond to privacy issues through a negative attitude of hopelessness and indifference, namely cynicism. Therefore,in order to find out whether the phenomenon of privacy paradox exist and its causes, and to understand how users cope with information privacy threats as well as how they make decisions about information disclosure, this study based on coping theory, and uses meta-analysis,empirical research metod and fuzzy-set Comparison Qualitative analysis(fs QCA)deeply discusses the cognitions, attitudes, motivations and behavior of Internet users. The third chapter of this paper uses the meta-analysis method.A comprehensive evaluation of 19561 samples from 43 independent studies shows that the privacy concerns of Internet users are inconsistent with their actual information disclosure behaviors, that is,privacy concerns cannot effectively predict disclosure behavior. The result shows that privacy paradox commonly exists. The fourth and fifth chapters of this paper take the coping theory as the research framework, collect data through questionnaires. The fourth chapter uses the structural equation model(SEM)and other methods for data analysis. The results show that privacy concerns,self-efficacy and response efficacy of users will affect their privacy cynicism and privacy protection motives, which are two different coping efforts, and this two will affect the actual disclosure behavior. The privacy cynicism mainlyaffected by efficacy is one of the reason why users disclose personal information while having privacy concerns. At the same time, the inconsistency between privacy protection motivation and actual disclosure behavior is another possible reason that may lead to privacy paradox. The fifth chapter explores the configuration of five elements, namely, privacy concerns, privacy self-efficacy,privacy response effectiveness, privacy cynicism and privacy protection motives, how to influence the privacy decision making. The research results show that the configurations that lead to disclosure or not disclosure are not asymmetrical.Specifically, there are three main sufficient conditions for disclosure, and self-efficacy is the core element. However, there are four sufficient conditions for the not disclosure and lack of response efficacy are the most important factor. As an effective supplement to the existing information privacy research, this paper has important significance and enlightenment for theoretical research and practice.
