From Traditional TV To Online Reality TV Can Influence The Viewing Habits Of Young Chinese Audiences?

In recent years,with the rapid popularity of video viewing terminals such as computers and smart phones,network video is rapidly integrating into the daily life of the public in China.The rapid rise of online video has changed the viewing mode of traditional TV as viewing terminal in China,and challenged the viewing status of traditional TV.The competition between traditional TV and online video has attracted more and more attention.Under the increasingly fierce competition between traditional TV and online video,how can traditional TV and online video survive and compete better.This paper discusses the transition from traditional TV to online video to reality TV.Based on the theory of usage and satisfaction,this study combs the relevant literature in the fields of traditional viewing,online viewing and reality show,and combines the development of China's reality show market and the specific viewing conditions.In addition,the main research methods of data acquisition and analysis are survey and focus group method.The 18-25 year-old Chinese young reality TV audience is selected as the research sample.400 response surveys and 2 focus groups were conducted.The results show that using online video websites to watch reality shows has played an important role in shaping the viewing habits of young Chinese audiences.The most effective aspect is the status of traditional TV.For most young Chinese audiences,traditional viewing behavior can easily occur in two scenarios: one is sitting down with family to watch reality TV programs on traditional TV;the other is watching the premiere of programs on traditional TV,and instantly conducting online activities.Based on this scenario,this study reveals the social needs of contemporary audiences,and provides corresponding strategies and suggestions for the future development of new and old media in China according to the search for major influencing factors,mainly discussing the changes that traditional TV should make to meet the needs of audiences.Traditional TV should be based on the two scenarios of product logic and user thinking,strengthen product logic and pay attention to product strategy.Grasp user characteristics and pay attention to user experience.
