Helicopter Down-looking Radar is an important research topic in various countries at present,reflector antennas are usually used in most of systems or projects of Helicopter Down-looking Radar,so a kind of high-performance reflector antenna is very necessary.On the basis of traditional reflector antennas,the research emphasis is on the factors of reflecting antenna properties,and the aim is to achieve the best properties of antenna by controlling and adjusting key parameters.The paper which is designing a W-Band mono-pluse reflector antenna gives a good solution of Helicopter Down-looking Radar,the properties of the W-band offset reflector antenna have a direct effect upon the whole radar.The antenna consists of offset reflector plan ?multimode feed?sum-difference network and supporting structures.The major contents of the paper as follows:1.The zero depth of the antenna is 30 d B which gets to the advanced level of same kind of antennas.The multimode feed has a obvious advantage of easing the contradiction of sum-difference,the high-performance magic-T with a symmetry ?the consistence of amplitude and phase make a obvious contribution to the properties of the offset reflector antenna.2.The design idea of using reflector antenna can reduce the influence of feed and the supporting structures on the antenna pattern?simplifies the progress of calculating the antenna properties.The pattern?difference zero depth?SLL of the antenna can be calculated quickly by the surface current method.3.By analyzing the processing technic of every signal part of the reflector antenna and the tolerance of key sizes,a better method is used in matching the feed.Through analyzing all kinds of material of matching antenna,we can choose a most suitable material to make the W-Band offset reflector antenna with mastering the merits and faults of every material.4.By simulation,we can test the antenna which has achieved the research goal or not and optimize the properties of the antenna.Also the analysis of tolerance can be done which can help us to know the debugging point in the progress of debugging the antenna.The paper's conclusions can provide the guide of theory and engineering practice of the reflector antenna.
