With the rapid development of global information and communication technology,it provides more convenience for people's work and life.However,the expansion of the scale of the network,the diversification of network services,the rapid expansion of the number of users,have exacerbated the energy consumption of the communication network,but also increased the economic burden.It is an important task for the ICT industry to find effective energy saving measures to slow down the global environmental pressure and build a green communication network.In this paper,we focus on the current effective network energy saving methods,mainly study the base station sleep and multi-point cooperative clustering algorithm in wireless cellular networks.Without loss or less loss of network performance,dramatically reduce network energy consumption.Firstly,we introduced the research background and significance of the network energy efficiency,and outlined the latest technology study in energy efficiency at domestic and international,elaborated the the related technologies of base station sleeping,multi-point cooperative communication and genetic algorithm.Then,we proposed base station sleeping and multi-point cooperative clustering strategy which is based on the genetic algorithm.This strategy makes use of the advantage of genetic algorithm in the operation of group partitioning and its group search,so as to obtain the optimal base station sleeping,clustering strategy with better system energy efficiency.Simulation results show that the proposed scheme can obtain more than 30% energy saving ratio compared to the base station multi-point dynamic sleep clustering algorithm.Meanwhile,based on the algorithm of base station sleep and multi-point collaboration,which can effectively reduce the system energy consumption,the method of base station sleep and cooperative clustering under QoS constraints is explored.When user rate is not satisfied with QoS constraint,modify the objective function of genetic algorithm,adding the constraint conditions,to ensure the system operation normally?Simulation results show that this scheme can guarantee the normal operation of the wireless cellular network at the low user rate,reduce the system energy consumption and improve the system energy saving ratio under the requirement of satisfying the user QoS requirement.
