Superhydrophobic surfaces have wide prospects for application in many fields,such as self-cleaning,waterproofing,antifouling,anti-corrosion and oil-water separation.With the rapid development of flexible electronics technology,preparation of hydrophobic surface on flexible substrates has attracted much attention all over the world.The preparation methods of superhydrophobic surfaces mostly have many shortcomings,such as complex process,high environmental requirements,high cost and difficulty in application to flexible substrates.It is of great significance to develop the preparation technology of superhydrophobic coatings that can apply to flexible substrates.In this paper,the demand for preparing superhydrophobic coatings on flexible substrates was investigated.A low cost process for making hydrophobic coatings on flexible substrates has been developed by using Polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS),a green and environmental-friendly material.A flexible piezoelectric wind energy harvester with self-cleaning capability was developed by using the developed process.The main works include:(1)Analyzed and summarized superhydrophobic surface preparation methods,which provide a basis for preparing hydrophobic coatings on flexible substrates.(2)Taking rose petals as the template,first,the PDMS solution was poured on the rose surface to form PDMS soft template,which is opposite to the petal surface.Then,the micro / nano structure similar to petal surface was constructed on the PDMS coating of flexible substrate by secondary replication.The test results show that the PDMS coating on the flexible substrate has micro/nano structure and hydrophobic properties similar to rose petals.(3)Prepared superhydrophobic coating with good mechanical stability on a flexible substrate by simple pressing method based on PDMS combustion,at room temperature.Investigated the effects of particle size,coating thickness and pressure on the hydrophobicity of the coating.The static contact angle of the prepared coating is 154 °,the rolling angle is less than 5°.(4)Prepared the superhydrophobic coating on the flexible wind energy harvester by simple pressing method.Experiments show that the superhydrophobic coating enables the harvester to have a self-cleaning ability and improves the environmental adaptability.The harvester with superhydrophobic coating can work normally,but the electrical output slightly reduced.
