In recent years, with the rapid rise of online bookstores, many physical bookstores are facing a huge survival challenge. The huge differences between the physical store and the online bookstore in the business model, cost investment, profit model, etc.,make the physical bookstore must change Seek for further survival and development. At present, the physical bookstore's model of consumer experience as the mainstay and a variety of business mixes are accepted by the majority of book retailers.Among them, the problem of shelf space allocation is an important link that affects consumers' reading and buying experience. The YC companies studied in this paper have the problem of empirical decision-making in the shelf display, neglecting the elasticity between shelf space and the consumer's recommendation for the bookstore.Based on the company's existing problems and feedback from consumer questionnaires, this paper considers the graphic strategies that have not yet been adopted in the bookstore.Based on fixing the types of books on each shelf, the drawings are written and mixed and considered in the shelf space. In the case of length, restriction of each book inventory, and upper and lower limits of display, the factors of influence are considered together,a general book space allocation model is constructed, and the heuristic algorithm are used to solve the display methods and quantity of each book. Finally, this method is compared with the empirical rules applied by enterprises. The results of the study showed that the profit value of the company was improved on the basis of a comprehensive consideration of the two display methods: the appearance of the company and the back-to-back sales, and the results were in line with the basic law of value. The application of this method can provide a certain reference for the sound development of a large number of physical bookstores.
