Global warming has an extremely bad influence on the development and survival of human,which has attracted wide attention from the international community.One of the main factors leading to global warming is the use of fossil energy by human beings,so greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide emit excessively to the atmosphere,and which result in the increasing concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere and the increasing greenhouse effect.Forest plants can absorb carbon dioxide from the air and fix them in plants and soil,which can effectively reduce the concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.Forests are the largest carbon pools in terrestrial ecosystems.So many countries and international organizations are actively using forest carbon to cope with climate change.As a responsible developing country,China attaches great importance to tackling climate change.According to the national sustainable development strategy,China has adopted a series of policies and measures,which has made positive contributions to slow down and adapt to climate change.The research content of this paper comes from the Asian Development Bank assistance to the sustainable development project of the Jiangxi forest ecosystem.One of the project's task is to develop the Jiangxi forest carbon sinks monitoring,verification and reporting system(Monitoring Reporting Verification System,MRVS).The main functions are the management and maintenance the basic data related to of forest vegetation,the calculation of regional forest carbon density and storage,report and monitoring changes in land area and forest area,forest carbon storage and carbon reserve.Users can evaluate the effectiveness of forest management measures through the changes in these data.In this paper,according to the principle of software engineering,the requirement analysis,data analysis,database design and software design of MRVS system development are elaborated in detail,and the implementation of MRVS system based on J2 EE architecture is descripted.
