Through questionnaires and in-depth interviews, this study analyzed the performance of women in the media, their role and the occupational ecological environment in Chad. The main contents include the complex social and cultural environment, the obstacles, the evaluation and the future development. The study found that the social environment and cultural traditions of Chad seriously hindered local women from engaging in journalistic careers. In particular, the constraints include low enrolment rates for girls, difficulties in obtaining training, man colleagues lack of confidence in female colleagues, women's laziness, incompetence and trouble, women's perception of poor working conditions in journalism. The social perceptions of women journalists who are frequently exposed to public opinion are morally frivolous and disrespectful of religious beliefs.Women's physical appearance, age and marital status are often considered criteria for journalism hiring.Long-standing stereotypes have made female journalists less accepted. In fact, women have an advantage in the field of journalism. In the future, the women's occupational ecological environment in Chad should be improved through various means and measures, and women should be encouraged to work in journalism.
