With the rapid development of mobile Internet,the consumption demand of mobile phone products has become very huge.Consumers have a near perfect pursuit of the appearance of the mobile phone,and also put forward demanding requirements for the quality inspection efficiency of the manufacturer.At present,the way of detecting the surface quality of mobile phone shell by artificial way has the problem of low efficiency and different standards,which does not conform to the production demand of high accuracy and intelligence.Therefore,it is of great significance to use the machine vision and image processing technology to complete the automatic detection of the surface defects of the mobile phone shell.Based on machine vision and digital image processing technology,this paper presents a method to detect the surface defects of the mobile phone shell.First,we use the mean filtering and wavelet analysis in image preprocessing technology to eliminate the image noise and increase the contrast of images,and lay a good foundation for further image processing.Then the improved Canny operator is used to segment the image,and the complete defect edge is extracted accurately.Then the feature parameters of the target are extracted by mathematical morphology processing.Finally,the application effect of the system is tested in the MATLAB environment,and the defects of the mobile phone shell are detected successfully,and the method is proved to be effective.
