Research On The H7N9 Influenza Report Of Guangdong Radio And TV Station Based On The Social Amplification Of Risk Frame

Guangdong Province is a province with high incidence of H7N9 flu epidemic.As a local mainstream television media,Guangdong Radio and TV Station has a profound impact on the risk society in the aspects of information broadcast,risk communication and meaning interpretation of H7N9 influenza.Roger E.Kasperson indicates his thoughts through the Social Amplification of Risk that mass media play an important role in amplifying society in risk communication.This article analyzes the H7N9 influenza risk report of Guangdong Radio and TV station for the five years from 2013 to 2017 under the framework of risk amplification.The category framework is set from four dimensions:the amount of information,the controversy of information,the dramatic of information,and the symbolic meaning of information.An in-depth analysis of H7N9 risk information flow has expanded on the four dimensions in this article through reporting duration and number,risk entities,risk themes,information dramatization and performance elements,programme and programme influence,news quotes,sources,coverage,reporting methods,reporting positions,text frames,and some other elements.In order to conduct this analysis,the data analysis methods of uni-variate statistical analysis and correlation analysis are mainly used to clarify the relationship and characteristics between variables,and the discovery of the epidemic in Guangdong Province are combined.Analysis concluded that the report of Guangdong Radio and Television on the H7N9 "outbreak response”only showed the social amplification of risk in the first cycle of the epidemic.The news report still treated the H7N9 flu epidemic as an issue of epidemic prevention and control,highlighting the position of government,and the importance of information was affected by both the epidemic and the value of the news.The overall level of information disputes was relatively low.Based on the social risk communication system,in order to achieve more effective risk communication in risk events,establish a multi-interest group risk communication mechanism,improve the in-depth reporting capabilities of risk information,increase risk warning reports,which is the key point for the development of the future risk epidemic report.
