| Video game was born in a special era.It goes hand in hand with the development of China's Internet industry,and makes hard progress in twists and turns.Nowadays,the e-sports industry,which is constantly improving and transforming from video games,has made remarkable achievements in China,no matter the number of users or the economic volume.However,we should also be aware that in the past,people's negative evaluation of e-sports,such as "Internet addiction","e-heroin" and other negative words,has been projected to a certain extent on the body of "E-sports".This stereotype is not only harmful to people's correct understanding of e-sports industry,but also hinders its healthy development.In this paper,the people's daily 1990-2018 E-sports related reports as the research object,and from 1990-2008,2009-2018,the two time periods,respectively,to discuss the people's daily for E-sports media image presentation differences.And through the analysis,it reveals the ideological turn of the media behind the different reporting tendency.People's Daily's report discourse on E-sports has a very significant change.This paper believes that the number of reports and the image of E-sports created by reports are significantly different around 2008.Before 2008,people's Daily's reports on E-sports often focused on the negative news of E-sports.In that era when new online media had not yet fully emerged,people's daily almost determined the impression of E-sports in the audience.After 2008,due to the new explanation of the importance of the official policies for the development of e-sports industry,and the booming of commercial capital,the people's Daily's report on E-sports also turned: the positive report began to increase significantly,and the negative report gradually declined. |
