With the economic globalization, many countries have introduced relevant education policies for "comprehensive ability training".The art curriculum standards for ordinary high schools(2017 edition)implemented in China in 2017 is the latest art teaching discipline standards in China. Therefore,as a new driving force of fine arts education,we should learn from the experience and teaching methods of the excellent art appreciation courses in various countries according to the content of "comprehensive ability cultivation" of the new curriculum standard.Through the interview and investigate the more mature foreign art appreciation education textbooks,we found that the art appreciation teaching in our country has great room for improvement. We focus on cultivating the two abilities of aesthetic judgment and creative practice, and have developed fine arts appreciation courses to cultivate the aesthetic judgment and creative practice quality of high school students, which has resulted in considerable achievements and meaningful experience.Through a variety of appreciation activities that can stimulate students' artistic potential and interest, students' thinking ability and aesthetic ability are combined to finally grain creative works. We not only guide students to research around the topic of contemporary art appreciation, but also encourage them to write research reports and give lectures. The course includes the basic art appreciation course and a series of after-class activities, including appreciation, production, design, research and other contents. At the same time,we combine art galleries and campuses to cultivate students' skills such as aesthetic judgment and creative practice, which we have obtained considerable results.
