In recent years,China's sports industry has been in full swing,and sports event tourism,as an important part of the sports industry,has a close relationship with the development of the sports industry.In order to promote the market potential of sports event tourism,it is of great significance to explore the specific motivation of sports event tourists for event tourism and its influential factors,to rationally develop sports event tourism,to expand its market size and to promote the marketing of event tourism destinations.This paper mainly uses literature review and logical reasoning,questionnaire surveys and statistical analysis to study the motivation and influencing factors of sports event tourists.On the basis of collating domestic and international sports event tourism related literature,and drawing on the mature motivation scales at home and abroad,and then designing a questionnaire that can explain and explain this research,a group of tourist events such as the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup and other sports events are selected The questionnaire survey explores the main motivations and influence factors of sports event tourists.Draw the following conclusions:(1)There are obvious differences in the motivation of knowledge acquisition,player charisma motivation and team identification motivation between different genders.(2)There is no significant difference in the motivation of event tourists at different ages,which indicates that the motivation factors of sports tourists are not affected by age.(3)There are significant differences in motivation of knowledge acquisition,team identification motivation,social interaction motivation and sports interest among event tourists with different education levels.(4)There is no significant difference in the motivation of team travellers in different professional states,such as team identification motivation,entertainment pastime motivation,and sports interest.There are significant differences in knowledge acquisition motivation,player charm motivation,and social interaction motivation.(5)Tournament tourists with different monthly incomes have significant differences in player motivation.Finally,according to the results of the analysis,we put forward suggestions for the development of sports events tourism: top-level design to build a tourism platform for fitness for the whole people;innovative marketing to create a variety of tourism boutique events;market-oriented to meet the diverse needs of event tourists;Fully explore national and regional characteristics.
