In recent years,the number of major sports events held in China has increased year by year,greatly enriching the material life of the people.The enthusiastic participation of the contestants promoted the further development of the event,making the scale of the event increasingly large.The organization services and venue facilities experienced by the contestants in the event affected their evaluation of the event,thus forming different levels of satisfaction.However,through literature review,it is found that scholars mainly discuss major sports events in terms of value,status quo,organization management,etc.,and less research on the satisfaction of competitors.Participants are an important part of the event.It is about whether the event can be held smoothly,and because of the differences in the characteristics of the participants,such as the age,the demand is also diversified.How to grasp the development opportunities of major sports events,promote the further development of China's economy and national spiritual life,how to more comprehensively grasp the needs of the contestants,provide quality facilities and services,and ensure the smooth development of the event is an urgent problem for the organizers of the event.This paper firstly explores the influencing factors of competitors' satisfaction through literature review,and finds that the satisfaction of contestants is affected by the four factors of event quality,service,facilities and on-site perception.Secondly,this paper conducts a more in-depth literature analysis on the characteristics of the four indicators and marathon events,initially constructs a major sports event participants' satisfaction evaluation index system,and uses the questionnaire survey method and expert interview method to correct the system.Evaluation system.Then,using the analytic hierarchy process,30 experts were invited to give weights to the indicators to form the final evaluation index system for the contestants of major sports events.After the completion of the evaluation index system,this study selected 252 contestants from the Nanjing Marathon in 2018 to conduct an empirical study.The results showed that the overall satisfaction of the Nanjing Marathon runners was relatively high,especially in terms of on-site perception,satisfaction in the event service needs to be treated.The improvement is followed by different characteristics of the players.For example,the age characteristics are different in the three indicators of medical equipment health,mobile toilet orientation setting and mobile toilet number setting.At the end of the article,suggestions are given to improve the satisfaction of the contestants.First,improve the communication channels before the competition and enhance transparency;Second,designa service-oriented communication process mechanism to encourage participants to participate in communication;Third,improve the marathon supporting facilities and improve the satisfaction of the contestants;fourth,create a beautiful event environment to enhance the enjoyment of the contestants.
