Ensuring fair and reasonable social mobility is of great significance for building a harmonious society, promoting social equity and providing social vitality. This will not only guarantee the fairness of opportunities, but also promote China's economic growth, make income distribution more equal, narrow the gap between the rich and the poor, and help children to achieve the upward mobility of the professional class and social status by virtue of their own ability and capital, and achieve equal opportunities in society. The unity of economic efficiency. However,at present, various "second generation" phenomena have emerged in the society, such as "second generation of agriculture","second generation of poor","second generation of rich","second generation of official" and so on.Whether this is the exaggeration of the media,or whether the social structure of our country has solidified;after more than 40 years of reform and opening up,what is the level of social mobility in China? Does China's social inequality have obvious intergenerational inheritance effects? Has caused widespread concern in society. Therefore, this paper starts from the perspective of occupation and social status, studies the problem of intergenerational mobility in China, and analyzes the current situation of intergenerational mobility in China and the reasons that affect intergenerational mobility.Based on the data of China's comprehensive social survey in 2015 and descriptive statistical analysis of the current situation of family intergenerational mobility from the perspective of occupation and social status, this paper finds that the occupational structure of the offspring is more dispersed than that of the paternal generation, and their average social status is higher than that of the paternal generation.Next, the intergenerational occupational mobility matrix and the intergenerational social status mobility matrix are constructed. It is found that the intergenerational occupational mobility and the intergenerational social status mobility have obvious inheritance effects in our country. Moreover, when the social status of the offspring and the father is in different strata, the offspring tend to move to the higher level, which further illustrates that the intergenerational social status mobility of our family shows a short distance. The characteristics of upward flow. After that,we use Multinomial Logit Model(MLM)to analyze the influencing factors of intergenerational career mobility and intergenerational social status mobility. It is found that in addition to the personal characteristics of the offspring, the education level of the fathers will have an impact on the inter-generational career mobility.Compared with the low-educated parents, the higher-educated father's offspring are less likely to move downward. The social status of the paternal generation will have an impact on the mobility of social status among generations.Compared with the low-status paternal generation, the high-status paternal generation has a greater probability of children moving downward. From the perspective of the changes of the times, the factors influencing the intergenerational mobility of occupations and social status are different in different times. However,no matter what age it is,education is an important factor influencing intergenerational mobility. The descendants can improve their occupational class and social status by improving their educational level,so as to achieve upward mobility.
