This paper is a comparative study of the annotations of ancient poetry and prose in the textbooks of Chinese for junior middle school published by the Mainland People's Education Press and Chinese for junior middle school edited by the Hanlin Press of Taiwan.In this paper,we exhaustively inspect the annotations of ancient poetry and prose of the same text selected by the two editions of textbooks,and outline the outline of the annotations of ancient poetry and prose of the two editions of textbooks from the annotation media,object and style.On the basis of describing the general situation,we compare the annotation styles of ancient poetry and prose in the two editions of textbooks from macro and micro perspectives;compare the annotation scope of the two editions of textbooks from four aspects: pronunciation,vocabulary,grammar and text;and compare the annotation objects of the two editions of textbooks from four perspectives: introduction,common words,uncommon words and cultural words.Through comparison,we summarize the common advantages and respective strengths of the annotations of ancient poetry and prose in the two editions of textbooks,point out the existing problems and correct the wrong annotations.We believe that the text annotation of ancient poems in junior middle school Chinese should take the whole paragraph annotation into account the word annotation,the original annotation and the extended annotation,enrich the illustrations and deepen the understanding of the content.At the same time,this paper systematically inspects the published junior middle school Chinese textbooks compiled by the Ministry.We mainly select the representative texts and discuss the problems of the use,supplementation and perfection of the annotations of ancient poetry and prose in the textbooks of the People's Education Press.We also find that there are some problems inthe edited textbooks,such as the old mistakes,the revision mistakes,the improper simplification and so on.The value of comparative study of ancient poetry and prose annotations in different versions of Chinese textbooks lies in striving to make the annotations of ancient poetry and prose more perfect in future textbooks,and providing a reference for future research of ancient poetry and prose annotations.
