Textbooks are the main tools for students to learn,from which students acquire knowledge,absorb nutrients,and form values.The basic education curriculum plays a key role in the process of cultivating morality and people,and the importance of textbooks is self-evident.At present,gender inequality in mainland China has existed for a long time.It seems that the compilation of history textbooks has not paid attention to such problems.Unlike Hong Kong,which shares the same roots with the mainland,which specifically studies women's social status changes.This article takes the elective textbook published by Hong Kong Educational Books Company in 2010 as the research object,and studies the value of the textbook from the conteint and structure of the textbook.This paper mainly includes the following parts:The introduction part mainly introduces the reason,significance and current research situation of the topic.The first part is an overview of the textbook"Women's Social Status:Tradition and Change".Firstly,the paper introduces the compilation principles of this textbook.This textbook is compiled according to the Chinese History Curriculum and Assessment Guidelines jointly compiled by the Hong Kong Curriculum Development Council and the Hong Kong Examination and Assessment Bureau in 2007 and the Basic Principles for Quality Textbooks revised in 2016.After examination and approval,it is included in the Applicable Bibliography List for students to choose.Secondly,it mainly introduces the life and academic achievements of Du Zhenzui,the editor-in-chief of the book.Finally,the information about the version is introduced.The second part is to study the structure of the textbook,that is,the text system and the text auxiliary system.The text system includes an introduction and a body part.The introduction summarizes the content of the subject as a whole and focuses on guiding students to think.The body part also includes various forms of supplementary texts,mainly supplementing,analyzing,citing and presenting the basic texts.The text auxiliary system mainly includes three parts:the premise of the lesson,the interpretation of the lesson,and the consolidation after the lesson.The textbook uses a large number of pictures and literature materials in the interpretation of the lesson,and also sets up a number of links to strengthen the thinking training for students.The third part is to study the content of the textbook.This textbook mainly shows the changes in the roles of women fiom the pre-Qin period to the present.This paper firstly analyzes the female characters and the cited literatures in the textbooks,and analyzes the unique aspects of this textbook.In the ideological aspect:paying attention to gender equality,focusing on the use of social history.In the content arrangement:focusing on analyzing data,citations the latest research results,the use of image teaching.The fourth part is to study the reference of this textbook for the compilation of current mainland textbooks.Through the analysis of the first three parts,we can find that the starting point of this textbook is to guide the attention to gender equality.In the process of teaching,it pays attention to the training of students'historical thinking ability.And in the arrangement of textbooks,it pays attention to exploring the fun of learning,so as to make both pictures and texts abundant.Finally,for the conclusion,it emphasizes that a set of high-quality textbooks should be compiled from many aspects,and attention should be paid to integrating the gender perspective.In the appendix,all the female characters appearing and all the literature referenced in the textbook are counted.
