In recent years,as more and more women enter the executive team,female executives have become a hot topic for scholars at home and abroad.However,the current research on the relationship between female executives and R&D investment has not yet reached a unified conclusion.Based on this,this paper analyzes the influence of female executives on R&D investment from the perspective of female executives and individual characteristics of female executives,and further explores whether female executives' individual characteristics are involved in women's participation in executive team and R&D investment.The relationship between the two has a regulatory role,in order to scientifically select the right conditions for women to join the executive team,to provide targeted advice to promote corporate R & D investment.This paper takes the data of China's A-share main board listed companies in2008-2017 as a research sample,and uses the combination of theoretical analysis and empirical analysis to study the relationship between female executives and R&D investment.Firstly,on the basis of defining related concepts,this paper reviews and reviews the research status of female executives,R&D investment,female executives and R&D investment;then,combined with relevant theories,analyzes the investment of female executives in R&D.The impact is put forward and the corresponding hypothesis is put forward.Finally,the relevant empirical research method is used to verify whether the proposed hypothesis is established and analyzed.The results show that:(1)the proportion of female executives is negatively correlated with the R&D investment of enterprises,and the female participation in the executive team has a certain inhibitory effect on the R&D investment;(2)The average term of female executives and the R&D investment of the company are positive.Correlation,the longer the female executives are appointed,the stronger the market insight is,which is conducive to the R&D investment of enterprises;(3)The average academic qualifications of female executives are positively related to the R&D investment of enterprises,and the educational experience helps them to break through their own counterparts than the average female.Sexual restraint,with a certain sense of innovation,is conducive to corporate R&D investment;(4)The background of female executives' function is positively related to corporate R&D investment,and the larger the proportion of women with “export-oriented” functionalbackground,the more beneficial to corporate R&D(5)The background of female executives' functions can effectively alleviate the inhibitory effect of women's participation in the executive team's investment in R&D,and can positively promote R&D investment.Based on the above conclusions,this paper can help enterprises to select women with more suitable term,education and functional background to join the senior management team,promote the reform of the female executives selection system in listed companies,promote the development of talents as a major resource,and maximize the female high.The role of management to promote corporate R&D investment.
