The Mediating Role Of Social Support Between Abuse And High School Student's Psychological Capital

Child abuse is not only a family problem,but also a social problem.The study of child abuse is not only related to the growth and development of children,but also to the progress of society and the development of a country to a certain extent.The influence of child abuse on individuals may be profound and lifelong.Some studies have shown that child abuse is related to some positive characteristics of individuals,and also to social support from family members,friends and others.Therefore,this study is to explore the relationship between child abuse,social support and psychological capital,which is of great significance for reducing child abuse and improving adolescent's psychological capital.In this study,a total of 686 students from a high school in Enshi were selected as subjects.The data of child abuse,social support and psychological capital were collected by questionnaire.By SPSS25.0 for statistical analysis,the conclusions are as follows:(1)In the sample,child abuse still exist,from high to low in turn is physical neglect(23.1%),emotional neglect(8.2%),sexual abuse(3.9%),physical abuse(3.5%),and emotional abuse(2%).(2)Child abuse is significantly different in terms of gender,whether parents work in other cities,economic situation or family atmosphere,but there is no significant difference between whether the subjects are only child,family location and parents' educational level.(3)Childhood abuse questionnaire score of senior high school students and objective support,subjective support,utilization of support and the total score of social support is significantly negatively correlated.Emotional abuse,sexual abuse,physical neglect,emotional neglect and objective support,subjective support,support is significantly negatively related to the total utilization of support and service,physical abuse correlation with objective support is not significant,but the physical abuse and subjective support,and the total score of social support is negatively related to the utilization of support.(4)There is a significant positive correlation between the dimensions and total scores of social support and the dimensions and total scores of psychological capital.(5)Social support plays a partial moderating role between abuse and psychological capital of high school students.
