The derivative,functioning as the basis of further study of mathematics and other natural sciences,is a must for Senior 2 students.It is also an important tool for studying modern science technology.Various mathematic thinking methods in derivatives such as the variable thought,approximation thought,number-shape combination thought promote the development of students' thinking ability as well as strengthening their thread of thinking.Based on the study of related literature and teaching practice,the author finds that learning and application of derivative pose a great challenge to most students.Through the questionnaire and examinations,this paper tries to understand: I.What are the problems students face in the process of derivative learning? II.Why do the problems arise in practice?III.What kinds of countermeasures can be taken to deal with these problems?Through the analysis of the problems,students' learning disorders are generally classified as affective disorder,concept disorder,operational disorder,knowledge transfer disorder and thinking disorder.Further study reveals affective disorder arises from lack of confidence and motivation;concept disorder from lack of calculation skills and mixture of regulations;knowledge transfer disorder from lack of connection between new and old knowledge and thinking disorder from lack of awareness.At last,the author analyzes the characteristics of these disorders to propose the teaching countermeasures.I.Develop the interest of study and contain the negative feeling;II.Emphasize the basis concept of mathematics and conquer the difficulty positively;III.Pay much importance to the training of thinking by the following countermeasures: Work out the exact problem using different ways for the extensity of thinking;Work out the similar problem using the same ways for the flexibility of thinking;Apply the acquisition to design different questions for the depth of thinking.With this research as a reference,not only can students face the disorders bravely,improving attitudes and methods during the study,teachers can also know the situation of the students better,thus adjusting the teaching procedures accordingly.
