Since the 1980 s,Left-behind children as a special group,which with the development of China's economy and society,has become a serious social phenomenon.The mental health problem of the left-behind children is the result of the incomplete family structure,the lack of psychological education,and so on.In this paper,we went to W Primary School to conduct 6 months research and intervention.Through the evaluation of questionnaires,interviews,participatory observation and many other ways,we find out the needs of the children.In the interaction with the children,we find out that the left-behind children in the lower grades have more serious situation in learning anxiety,remorse tendency,physical symptom and allergic tendency.By using theories of social learning theory and ecological theory,the social workers help the left-behind children to adjust their mental status by combining group work and case work.Through professional helper method to help rural left-behind children's healthy growth,and according to the actual situation of specific clients,we try to explore social work to intervene in such problems.
