Purpose:Executive control is the core of cognitive activities and play an important role in human daily life.ERP as an objective method to reflect the brain higher nervous activity has obtained the widespread application in cognitive function research. The internal element of P300 in ERP is the most typical and commonly used components that closely relative to cognitive process, moreover,it's the new mean in brain research. This study examined the effects of exhaustive exercise on neuroelectric and behavioral indices of interference control, the paper research the effect of sport on P300,in order to focus in the change of students'executive control ability after the exhaustive exercise.Methods:30 male and female participants were recruited from the capital university of Physical Education and sports.Subjects complete the pre-test of the body function assessment in physiological and biochemical indexes while performing congruent and incongruent trials of flanker task as the pre-test.The exercise session then commenced at a power output of 60 r/min,with the exercise load increased by 25W every 2 minutes until volitional exhaustion occurred.Blood sample were drawn in the immediate end of exhaustive exercise,Recovery 3 minutes,Recovery 5 minutes, simultaneously, pulse and RPE were detected, respectively. Then repeat the same flanker performance task.Analysis the difference of executive control between before and after exercise.Results:1?The omnibus analysis for RT indicated a Congruency effect,F(1,18)=11.11,P=0.004,with shorter RT for congruent relative to incongruent trials during exercise compared to rest;decrease in response accuracy for incongruent trials compared to congruent trials,F(1,18)=10.23,P=0.00502.Increased P3 amplitude was observed after exercise at parietal sites relative to rest.Finding revealed significant main effects of electrode sites,F(11,198)=7.71,P<0.001;Finding incongruent trials significant different in Topographic maps for exhaustive exercise and rest between 300 and 500ms,the brain activated area increased and deepen degree compared to rest. The omnibus analyses revealed a main effect of electrode sites,F(11,198)=7.71,P<0.001;Decomposition of the 12(Sites)×2(Condition:rest,exercise)interaction examined site within condition and revealed significant differences between sites with exhaustive exercise and rest,F(11,198)=4.84,P<0.001;3-way interaction of Sites× Conditions× Congruency is significant difference,F(11,198),=2.79,P=0.002.3?When exhaustion pulse(157.52± 17.55),blood lactic acid(7.63±1.80)and RPE(18.47±0.33)are all closely to the participants' physical limitation. In ERP pre-test and before the post-test,physiological and biochemical indexes have significant difference.4?From POMS mood scale we can see that after exercise the negative mood state of stress, anger, depression and panic are decreases significantly than rest, and energy in scoring is higher than before. Conclusion:ERP finding suggest that single bout of exhaustive exercise trigger of increased P3 amplitude, with shorter RT than before exercise. These cognitive process is related to stimulus encoding that recruit attentional resources toward the stimulus environment and process information more quickly, and better inhibition and monitoring ability,Which prove that single bout of exhaustion exercise can promote the ordinary university students'executive ability.
