Research On The Party's Women's Work In The Anti-Japanese Base Areas Of Central Jiangsu

After the outbreak of the All-round War of Resistance Against Japan,the Communist Party of China(CPC)noticed the important force of the huge women group,which accounted for half of the population,in the revolution.In order to encourage women to contribute their strength to the War of Resistance and production,it began to mobilize them extensively.In view of the special environment of the anti-Japanese base areas in Central Jiangsu,the CPC adapted the guiding policies of the Central Committee of the CPC according to local conditions to return to the reality of the base areas and formulated a series of concrete policies suitable for the reality of the Anti-Japanese Base Areas of Central Jiangsu: organizing a women's production campaign centered on spinning;carrying out a campaign of support for the army;advocating family harmony and establishing a new type of family;carrying out literacy campaign and health care campaign,popularizing cultural education and physiological health knowledge.The Party's policy on women in the Anti-Japanese Base Areas of Central Jiangsu provides legal protection for the protection of women's legitimate rights and interests to a large extent,and highlights the local characteristics.Under the guidance of Marxist women's theory and revolutionary theory and under the guidance of specific policies,the CPC launched vigorous women's work in the AntiJapanese Base Areas of Central Jiangsu.In order to increase the strength of women's mobilization,the CPC established a typical model image of anti-Japanese production to infect and motivate women;As women's work initiatives have shaken feudal ethics and morality and encounter obstacles from feudal families,the CPC carried out family ideological education so that women can participate in revolutionary and construction activities without worries;In order to realize the maximization of the anti-Japanese war and construction forces,the CPC organized and mobilized women of all walks of life,established a women's united front in the Soviet-Chinese anti-Japanese base areas,which comprehensively spread women's work;In order to rescue women from the traditional feudal situation,the CPC started with relieving women's personal suffering,reformed the traditional marriage system,carried out large-scale haircut and footopening activities,mobilized women to participate in social production,run literacy classes and publicized maternal and child health knowledge;In order to improve women's work efficiency,the CPC nurtured local women cadres.In this process,representatives of women's work,such as Zhang Yun,Minister of Women of the CPC Committee of the Anti-Japanese Base Areas of Central Jiangsu,Yao Jingfang,member of the Women's Committee of Haiqi County,as well as new women's organizations represented by the Women's Resistance Committee and the Women's Committee,and old-fashioned organizations such as the reformed sister organizations and women's gang,emerged.All these measures have become important practices that distinguish women's work in the Anti-Japanese Base Areas of Central Jiangsu from other bases.Through a series of women's work carried out by the CPC in the Anti-Japanese Base Areas of Central Jiangsu,the economic contribution of women groups in the family and society has gradually increased,women has occupied a place in the construction of political power,while the proportion of illiterate women in the base areas has been shrinking,and the number of cases of striving for freedom of marriage has generally increased.In addition,women are scrambling to go out of their families and into the society,actively produce,support the army and build bases.The production movement centered on spinning and the rush to send their husbands and sons to join the army have provided sufficient material and human support for the War of Resistance in the special period when war readiness and human resources are extremely scarce.Finally,in the process of carrying out women's work,the CPC has also trained a large number of women cadres with local roots and both ability and virtue,and created a series of well-ordered and effective women's organizations.Women's work has achieved remarkable results.Certainly,during the period of carrying out women's work,the CPC also had some shortcomings,such as the thought of despising women and women's work,some women cadres also had some negative tendencies such as formalism and idealism,and the natural physiological characteristics of women's groups,which caused some women cadres to have a dilemma between career progress and marriage and childbirth.But the CPC drew lessons in time,corrected errors seriously,and eventually promoted the smooth development of women's work,providing important historical value and experience for women's work in the new era.
