Political participation is an activity in which citizens try to influence government decision-making through certain behaviors.It is an essential factor in maintaining the effective functioning of society.In the age of Internet,network technology is changing people's life at an extremely fast pace.As a new area of citizens participating in political life,political participation also shows a huge and increasingly influence.Women,as a vast majority of Internet users,have different political participation behaviors compared to men.So what is the situation of women participating politics on the Internet currently? Are there any characteristics revealed? Do women take more initiative in political participation on the Internet than in reality? These are the starting point and focus of this paper.Taking a female survey in Shanxi Province as an example,the paper attempts to analyze the basic situation of modern women participating in politics online in China.Using a combined research method of questionnaire and interviews,this paper makes an in depth study on women's online political participation.The study found that women in Shanxi Province showed a relatively low initiative in online political participation,and their awareness and willingness of participation is no stronger than offline political events.In addition,this paper also analyzes the factors affecting women's political participation on the Internet in Shanxi Province,and that economic level,cultural concept,education level,urban-rural differences and political identities have certain influence on women's online political participation in Shanxi province.And will result in different attitudes of participation and participation.The author hopes to promote the orderly online political participation of female groups in central China by case of Shanxi Province,and improve the enthusiasm of women's online political participation.
