Nowadays,with the transformed concept of people with disabilities into those with handicaps,the education of them is receiving more and more attention.As a special group,how to protect their right to survival and development is a requirement for the progress of social civilization.Among disabled people,children with disabilities are the most special.As minors,they are in a weak position,combined with physical or psychological defects,and their right to survive and develop is more difficult to obtain good protection.Among the many rights of children with disabilities,the right to be educated at the obligatory stage urgently needs to be guaranteed.As a universal education,every Chinese citizen should accept compulsory education.Although the compulsory education policy for children with disabilities has developed rapidly in China,there is still some space for improvement in the equal protection of disabled children in compulsory education.Traditional forms of education,such as regular and special education,are not fully able to meet the needs of children with disabilities to receive compulsory education on an equal basis.Although the newly revised Regulations on the Education of Disabled Persons has added two forms of teaching,teachers giving private instruction at disabled students' home and distance education through the Internet,in my opinion,the equality of education includes not only the equality of knowledge,but also its output and the channels of children's promotion.At present,compulsory education for disabled children in China cannot achieve complete equal protection,and there is a lot of room for development.In this paper,the author analyzes and explores the equal protection of compulsory education rights of disabled children through literature research,interview investigation and comparative analysis.The key points include: special protection for children with disabilities,lack of legal provisions,reasonable ways to carry out special protection,etc.Through the combination of theory and practice,the author puts forward the shallow insights,hoping to add to the development of the education of disabled children in China.
