In order to explore the influence mechanism of rural women on intergenerational mobility, our paper studies the relationship between rural women's educational level and offspring's educational level and income, and constructs a two-phase model of human capital accumulation, taking into account the family's father and mother's division of labor effect, distinguishing the different effects of the two on human capital accumulation of offspring in different stages. Our theoretical model shows that the improvement of women's educational attainment can enable their offspring to get better human capital accumulation during compulsory education,so as to increase their probability of getting entry of university(college)and increase their income level. In order to verify the theory, this paper uses the "Great Leap Forward" education started in 1968 as a tool variable of rural women's educational level, and respectively estimates the impact of female's educational level on the probability of children's entry into elementary, middle, high school, college and university,It is found that women' education have a significant positive effect on their children's access to higher education, and this conclusion is robust. This paper also replaces the dependent variable with the number of years of education for offspring, and uses the quantile instrumental variable method to estimate,we found that the education level of the mother at 0.8 quintile has the greatest impact on the number of years of education for the offspring, and that for mothers who have received one more years of education, children's years of schooling increased by 2.44 years, once again validated our theory. The paper then estimates the impact of women's educational level on offspring's income, and the result is still significant. This paper argues that improving the education level of rural women not only can promote the equality of social status of both sexes, but also enhances the human capital level of the entire society in the long run and enhances the intergenerational mobility of society. In view of this,we think it is important to increase the education resource allocation for girls and young women in precision-oriented poverty alleviation. This will not only promote local gender equity, increase the status of women and human capital, but also release women's productivity, ease the family's income constraints, and increase the investment in human capital for the next generation.
