The Research On Shi Ji's Imagination And Fiction

As a biographical history work,Shiji has a grand system and profound content,and its historical value has been widely recognized by people since it was written done.There have been many researchers in all dynasties to regard it as a historical classic.Shiji is based on the true record,and it also reproduces a large number of vivid figures with strong literariness.Therefore,as a historical classic,it is also considered as a representative historical literature classic of ancient China.Since modern times,the research on the literariness of Shiji has attracted great attention.Imagination and fiction are often involved in the field of literary research.Therefore,many researchers pay attention to the existence pattern of imagination and fiction in Shiji.Starting from imagination and fiction,this paper makes a detailed discussion on the forms,characteristics,causes and significance of imagination and fiction in Shiji.The whole thesis is divided into five chapters:Chapter 1 is the introduction.Firstly,the research background,research content and significance of this topic are described.Secondly,the related research status of Shiji at home and abroad is analyzed.Finally,the connotation and artistic function of imagination and fiction are briefly defined.Chapter 2 explores the forms of representation and characteristics of imagination and fiction in Shiji.First of all,it analyzes the forms of representation of imagination and fiction in Shiji,including the artistic representation of historical characters' individual psychology and language,the detail reproduction of historical scenes and the dramatic setting of some plot structures.Secondly,it analyzes the important characteristics of imagination and fiction in Shiji,which not only conforms to the scientific spirit of history,but also maintains a certain degree of artistry.It not only carries Sima Qian's profound emotion,but also is restricted by historical reality.Chapter 3 analyzes the causes of imagination and fiction in Shiji.First of all,the Pre-Qin classics and field trips are two different sources of historical materials of Shiji.It analyzes the inheritance of the historical ideas of the Pre-Qin historical classics by Shiji and the absorption of creative spirit of the Pre-Qin literary works by Sima Qian.And then explores the influence of Sima Qian's field trips on his historical writing.Secondly,the historical data collected and gathered needs to be further sorted out,so the long-term evolution of historical data and the influence of its rectification process are also important factors which can not be ignored.At last,it explores the influence of social environment,mainly analyzing the spirit of the time in the period of Emperor Wu of Han Dynasty,and the ideological infiltration of the creation trend of Han Fu to Sima Qian's compilation of Shiji.Chapter 4 discusses the significance of imagination and fiction in Shiji.First of all,for the Shiji,Sima Qian read the historical materials widely,made up the gap of historical materials with reasonable imagination,and restored the consistency of historical records.Moreover,he felt the ancient characters' feelings,and made up their thoughts of the characters,and imagined in his heart,then put the scenes onto paper,andreproduced the details of history,which effectively deepened the authenticity of Shiji.Secondly,the imagination and fiction in Shiji also carried Sima Qian's profound emotion,which has greatly enhanced the poetic expression of Shiji.And the imagination and fiction also promoted the spread of Shiji in later generations.Finally,it analyzes its positive significance for the the literature of portraying people of later generation.Conclusion shows concerns to the whole thesis,and on the basis of the above chapters,gives out a comprehensive statement of the forms,important features,causes and significance of imagination and fiction in Shiji.
