A Study On The Narrative Mode Of Science Fiction In The Late Qing Dynasty

In the late qing dynasty,there were many kinds of novels.Science fiction is one of the new types of literature,science fiction in the late qing dynasty as the source of modern Chinese science fiction literature,has opened up a new chapter of Chinese sf literature,has important position in academic history,which influenced the later Chinese sf literature creation,also on Chinese literature has produced important influences on the historical process of modernity.However,the research on science fiction in the late qing dynasty has not received the attention and the depth consistent with its value in the past100 years.This paper takes the late qing dynasty science fiction as the research object,USES the narratology research method,based on the primary data and text analysis of the late qing dynasty science fiction,carries on the research to its narrative mode.The paper is mainly divided into the introduction part,the main text and the conclusion.The introduction part explains the general situation of science fiction in the late qing dynasty.This paper defines the time and concept of science fiction in late qing dynasty,discusses the research status of science fiction in late qing dynasty,and expounds the research methods and significance of this paper.The body part is mainly divided into five chapters:The first chapter mainly discusses the social background and historical context of the rise of science fiction in the late qing dynasty.There are five main aspects.First,the introduction of science and technology in line with the aspirations of the great powers.Western science and technology was introduced into China in late qing dynasty,the political crisis makes some people will cease to science and technology developed with the fate of the nation,the introduction of western science and technology and launched the westernization movement,and a series of rescue measures,but ultimately failed to turning to overthrow the feudal dynasty,established on the basis of scientific and rational spirit of modern nation-state.Thus,the formation of scientific concept,scientific cognitive mode and scientific social environment promoted the rise of science fiction in late qing dynasty.Second,the collapse of the traditional time-space view and the establishment of the new cosmology have become the basis for the writers to construct the fantastic time-space in science fiction.The collapse of the traditional Chinese conceptof space brings the charm of exotic charm to the psychological motivation of the creation of science fiction.The collapse of the traditional became its direct cause.The second chapter mainly studies the narrative theme of science fiction in late qing dynasty.The narrative theme of science fiction in late qing dynasty is a narrative theme with modern factors formed under the influence of the unique context of The Times,which has a strong meaning of enlightenment and salvation.Throughout the creation of science fiction in late qing dynasty,there are four main themes.First,to save the country in science vision of the world,a highly civilized utopian society as the theme.Science fiction in late qing dynasty mainly described from three aspects: daily life,social culture and political system.Second,to explore the foreign region,the strong desire to explore the universe,flying to escape the magical journey as the theme.Third,the imminent death of the dynasty.The third chapter mainly studies the space-time writing and construction of science fiction in late qing dynasty.The subversion of Chinese traditional concept of time and space profoundly affected the time and space operation mode and structure of science fiction in late qing dynasty.The transformation of the concept of time will be the dimension of time in the in the late qing dynasty changed from omniscient narration to limiting narration "consciously".The fifth chapter reflects on the creation of science fiction in late qing dynasty.The defects in the creation of science fiction in the late qing dynasty are mainly manifested as the lack of literariness caused by the excessive pursuit of didactic color and the single and rampant "powerful country" narrative mode.In addition,science fiction in the late qing dynasty has unique value in the history of Chinese literature,which provides valuable experience for the development of later Chinese science fiction literature and has a positive impact on the historical process of Chinese literature modernization.
