A Comparison Between Jiang Shiquan And Wang Zhijian's Comments On Pianwen

Jiang Shiquan's “Review and Selection of Si Liu Fa Hai” is an important parallel commentary in the history of Chinese parallel prose.Based on Wang Zhijian's “Si Liu Fa hai”,He re-selected and commented on articles,both retaining Wang Zhijian's comments and expressing his own insights and made innovations,he has made great achievements in the study of parallel prose theory.Thus this thesis is centered on “Review and Selection of Si Liu Fa Hai”.It analyzes the similarities and differences between Jiang Shiquan and Wang Zhijian's comments,it reveals the characteristics of the selected articles and the two people's view of parallel prose.The thesis can be divided into four parts :The first part gives a preliminary introduction to the book selection and edition of“Review and Selection of Si Liu Fa Hai”.Wang Zhijian's “Si Liu Fa Hai” is a peculiar selection of parallel prose from the middle of the Ming Dynasty.Parallel prose in the late Ming Dynasty are often used in imperial examinations and social communication.Therefore,the guide scripts for parallel prose writing came into being.By following the style classification of “Si Liu Fa Hai”,and on the basis of this book,Jiang Shiquan reorganized and excerpted some articles,in order to distinguish,the comments are listed in the header,and the general comments are distinguished after Wang Zhijian's comments,and the selected text is divided according to the grades of A and B,and placed beside the title of the article.In addition,there are notes between the lines of individual articles,so that the readers could learn from them.The second part gives a detail explanation of the “Si Liu Fa Hai” and the “Review and Selection of Si Liu Fa Hai” from the aspect of compilation method,and make a detailed analysis of “Review and Selection of Si Liu Fa Hai” based on the selection concept and the comment characteristics.Under the background of the revival of parallel prose,and influenced by the environment of advocating the style of writing in the Six Dynasties,Jiang Shiquan put forward his own opinions and ingenuity in the creation of parallel prose.His selection of prose is also based on the Six Dynasties.In the Six Dynasties,Xu Ling and Yu Xin are highly praised.The style of editing is still based on Wang Zhijian's original case,it classified according to the style and the chronological order,he put forward his own unique opinions on various articles,it is used to teachchildren in the family and play a demonstrative role for later generations to learn parallel prose.For the commentary on the selected article,Jiang Shiquan mainly based on the last batch,he used parallel sentences to comment.This book was originally printed by cinnabar ink in Cuiwentang,Longzang Street in Xianfeng Period of Qing Dynasty.At the end of the book,there was a postscript by Jiang Li'ang.The third part is the comparison between Jiang Shiquan and Wang Zhijian on the selection and comment,which is also the main part of this paper.This part analyzes the history of parallel prose,the relationship between parallel prose and prose,the parallel prose writers and the theory of creation.Starting from the historical development of the dispute between parallel prose and prose,the relationship between parallel prose and prose focuses on the analysis of the background of the dispute between the two in the late Ming Dynasty and the Qianjia period of the Qing Dynasty to further explore the similarities and differences of their views.In terms of the parallel prose writers,According to the judging criteria of Wang Zhijian and Jiang Shiquan on writers,different works of the same writer are selected for analysis,according to the different number of works selected by each writer and the evaluation of the works of these writers,it can be seen that Wang Zhijian and Jiang Shiquan have different preferences in essay selection;In terms of creation,Wang Zhijian's post-reviews focus more on the writer's life history,he citing the views of others to express his own opinions,which is rarely created and lacks of discussion on parallel prose creation.Jiang Shiquan's commentary focuses on the creation and style of the work,and uniquely puts forward style categories such as“Qiu Dang”.Through the introduction and analysis of these four aspects,the similarities and differences between Wang Zhijian's and Jiang Shiquan's comments are systematically summarized.The fourth part is the discussion of the status and influence of the“Si Liu Fa Hai”and “Review and Selection of Si Liu Fa Hai”.Discussing from the status influence of the two books in the selected text and the parallel prose theory,we can reveal the important role of the two books in the history of parallel prose.
